What is the difference between the different blends of coffee (mild, medium roast, etc.)?
Roast refers how long the beans have been roasted. The darker the roast more coffee flavor. Also some of the darker roasts tend to be slightly bitter, unless you buy a good brand. (Peets, Starbucks, etc.) If you are a new coffee drinker, I suggest going softer for a roast that will not be as strong. Sumatra is a good bet, there is good Peets and Starbucks breakfast blend is ok, I think Starbucks coffee tastes overcooked, but it’s my opinion. Just buy small bags and any taste. If you have a Trader Joes in town, they have an excellent coffee for prices well good. Man, all this Coffee Talk makes me thirsty ……. I’m brewing a pot!
