Best ports to buy things on a Caribbean cruise?

My family and I are going on a cruise in a few weeks and we 've read the reviews and I heard that some ports are more expensive than others to buy souvenirs and other things. Ports we're going to Costa Maya, Mexico, Santo Tomas de Castilla, Guatemala, Belize City, Belize and Cozumel, Mexico. We go to the ports in this order and we do not want to spend all our money in the price on the ports before moving to other ports. If anyone knows which ports are more expensive than others or whether certain ports have better offers on Coffee or jewelry or other things that would be great specifice. Thank you

i belive all would be expensive, but if you can enter the areas of the city and look around different stores, you can find beautiful things cheaper. Good luck. =)

With her first novel, Angie Cruz established herself as a dazzling new voice in Latin-American fiction. Junot Diaz called her “a revelation” and The Boston Globe compared her writing to that of Gabriel Garca Mrquez. Now, with humor, passion, and intensity, she reveals the proud members of the Coln family and the dreams, love, and heartbreak that bind them to their past and the future. Esperanza did not risk her life fleeing the Dominican Republic to live in a tenement in Washington Heights. No, she left for the glittering dream she saw on television: JR, Bobby Ewing, and the crystal chandeliers of Dallas. But years later, she is still stuck in a cramped apartment with her husband, Santo, and their two children, Bobby and Dallas. She works as a home aide and, at night, stuffs unopened bills from the credit card company in her lingerie drawer where Santo won’t find them when he returns from driving his livery cab. Despite their best efforts, they cannot seem to change their present circumstances. But when Santo’s mother dies, back in Los Llanos, and his father, Don Chan, comes to Nueva York to live out his twilight years in the Colns’ small apartment, nothing will ever be the same. Santo had so much promise before he fell for that maldita woman, thinks Don Chan, especially when he is left alone with his memories of the revolution they once fought together against Trujillo’s cruel regime, the promise of who Santo might have been, had he not fallen under Esperanza’s spell. From the moment Don Chan arrives, the tension in the Coln household is palpable. Flashing between past and present, Let It Rain Coffee is a sweeping novel about love, loss, family, and the elusive nature of memory and desire, set amid the crosscurrents of the history and culture that shape our past and govern our future.

W. G. Sebald exemplified the best kind of cosmopolitan literary intelligencehumane, digressive, deeply erudite, unassuming and tinged with melancholy. . . . In [Campo Santo] Sebald reveals his distinctive tone, as his winding sentences gradually mingle together curiosity and plangency, learning and self-revelation. . . . [Readers will] be rewarded with unexpected illuminations. The Washington Post Book World This final collection of essays by W. G. Sebald offers profound ruminations on many themes common to his workthe power of memory and personal history, the connections between images in the arts and life, the presence of ghosts in places and artifacts. Some of these pieces pay tribute to the Mediterranean island of Corsica, weaving elegiacally between past and present, examining, among other things, the island’s formative effect on its most famous citizen, Napoleon. In others, Sebald examines how the works of Gnter Grass and Heinrich Bll reveal the grave and lasting deformities in the emotional lives of postwar Germans; how Kafka echoes Sebald’s own interest in spirit presences among mortal beings; and how literature can be an attempt at restitution for the injustices of the real world. Dazzling in its erudition, accessible in its deep emotion, Campo Santo confirms Sebald’s status as one of the great modern writers who divined and expressed the invisible connections that determine our lives. Pedro Fernndez de Quirs was a remarkable navigator and explorer. Having sailed in 1595 as chief pilot in the ill-fated Spanish expedition to the Solomon Islands, he returned to the ‘Austral Lands’ – the area of the New Hebrides – in 1605 with another expedition, which is the subject of this volume. In his Introduction Father Kelly sets out to resolve some of the outstanding historical problems of this Quirs expedition in the light of recently discovered documents. At the same time he gives a brief description of the Franciscan missionary apostolate, its contribution to geographical discovery in the Pacific, and its missionary plans for the natives of the Austral lands. He also provides a systematic survey of source material in Spanish, Roman and other European archives. The volume contains 32 documents concerning the 1605 expedition, including Munilla’s Relacin, as well as the Franciscan Missionary Plan. All these have been translated by Father Kelly. Continued in Second Series 127, with which the main pagination is continuous. This is a new print-on-demand hardback edition of the volume first published in 1966.
